Least Dangerous Assumption: Evidence Based Practices for Students with Down Syndrome

- Let's talk about least dangerous assumption. As a teacher, we always have to presume that the students in our classroom can learn with the right supports. Because if we assume otherwise, we can inflict long-term negative consequences on our students. Remember, it's okay for your students to try, fail, and try again, because that's how all of us learn. So always presume competence in your students, including those with Down syndrome.

In this video, Ayo Jones shares the concept of presuming competence and the Least Dangerous Assumption. This video aligns with the Rubric of Effective Practices Quality Indicator III: Classroom Climate.
