Understanding Comprehensive Coordinating Early Intervening Services
Federal law and regulations outline that local education agencies (LEAs) who are identified as having significant disproportionality are required to set aside and spend 15% of their Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B funds to address factors contributing to their significant disproportionality. This document gives an explanation and scenarios to aide LEAs in determining how they will spend these funds.
