Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Transition Training

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the transition from Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services under IDEA Part C to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services under IDEA Part B in Texas. Participants will review federal and state requirements related to transition notification, transition conferences, evaluation timelines, eligibility determination, and IEP development. Through discussion and guided activities, participants will identify and develop strategies for strengthening collaboration between ECI programs and local education agencies (LEAs), supporting continuity of services and meaningful family participation through the transition process.  

Designed for LEA ECSE leaders, administrators, evaluation personnel, and ECI staff, this session supports IDEA compliance and promotes a seamless, child-centered transition from ECI to ECSE.
