Fall 2026 TOT-Implementing MTSS

This training of trainers prepares participants to guide educational leaders with implementing an MTSS framework. The training outlines the stages of implementing MTSS at the district, campus, classroom, and student levels. It explores how MTSS can support both academic and nonacademic outcomes, and provides resources, policies, procedures, and professional learning opportunities to strengthen MTSS implementation at the district and campus levels.

Additionally, the training discusses district-wide systems and practices that ensure the long-term success of MTSS while fostering continuous improvement and student support.

Who is the TOT intended for?

This training of trainers is designed for ESC staff and district/campus administrators and staff responsible for training and implementing MTSS.

Prerequisites for the TOT

To register for this training of trainers, participants must already hold a TIER Essentials, Essentials+, or District Leadership Team certification. Designated ESC staff members without a TIER certificate must complete the following Canvas courses on TEA Learn as a prerequisite:
