In this training of trainers, participants will learn how to prepare educators to incorporate positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) and mental health supports, such as trauma-informed care and restorative practices, within an MTSS framework. This Training of Trainers will provide participants with the tools to guide educators in implementing PBIS and mental health practices at the universal, targeted, and intensive levels effectively.

Who is the TOT intended for? 

This training of trainers is designed for ESC staff and district/campus administrators and staff responsible for training and implementing MTSS, specifically in the areas of behavior and mental health.

  • Part 1 - February 24-25, 2026
  • Part 2 - March 24-25, 2026
  • Training Time: 9:00AM - 4:00PM CST each day
  • Capacity for the TOT = 60 learners
  • Registration Closes: Tuesday, February 10, 2026
 

Prerequisites

In order to register for this training of trainers, participants must already hold a TIER certificate. Designated ESC staff members without a TIER certificate must complete the following Canvas courses on TEA Learn as a prerequisite:

Please enroll in each course and complete by Friday,  February 13, 2026. Participants who do not complete Canvas courses will be withdrawn from the training.
