Impartial Mediators: Who, What, and When?

(upbeat music) - If they developed interpersonal conflict where you can tell they don't really respect one another, they don't listen to one another, they berate one another either in group setting or kind of behind the scenes, then I think clearly that team needs an outside intervener. And who that intervener is, I think just kind of depends on the personalities in a school. I mean, there are guidance counselors who could be really good at doing that. A principal or an assistant principal might be good at doing that. I think it's really difficult for an outside coach to do that. So I think it's really important for it to be a school-based person, principal, guidance counselor, if there's a mentor teacher, or even an instructional coach, they might be folks who could do that kind of mediation.
