Teaching Priorities

[MUSIC PLAYING] Marissa tells us how a three-week professional development opportunity has changed her professional practice. I think my big, number one priority for everybody is going to be routines from the beginning. Of getting to school, and our transitions, and what it means to be in blue room and yellow room and green room. So that we get that instructional control, and our kids are functioning through the rest of the day, not just while they're sitting with us. I think I've learned about backward chaining a lot. So we might have to start with the last step, so we help them with everything except for the last one, and work backwards from there. I think that'll be really valuable with my kiddos.
