Guidance on Providing State Supported Living Center (SSLC) Information During ARD Committee Meetings

This one-page guidance document is intended for local educational agencies (LEAs) serving students who are in, or at risk of requiring, an admission, review, and dismissal (ARD) committee-determined residential placement. It explains requirements related to State Supported Living Center (SSLC) information, including when LEAs must provide SSLC materials to a student’s parent or guardian during an ARD committee meeting. The guidance applies when a new, proposed, or existing residential placement is discussed and outlines required ARD committee actions and documentation expectations under Texas Education Code §29.0056 and 19 Texas Administrative Code §89.1050(k).
