(gentle music) - A good transition plan ends up providing the roadmap for all that we do throughout middle school, high school and beyond. It's the very thing that sets the trajectory for young people, so if we know where we're trying to end up after 18 or 22 years of schooling, it allows us to align up our services and instruction and experiences so that they put students in the very best chance of obtaining those outcomes. So it's not just a mandate, although it is that, but it actually is the central purpose of what we do in special education; it's making sure that we're putting in concrete, strong plans that put students in the best chance to have a good job, go to college, and have a good life in the community.
