This MTSS Foundations training of trainers session is for ESC staff only. The MTSS Foundations certification is designed for instructional leaders, district-level specialists, and other educators responsible for training and/or implementing MTSS in their region or district. It provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to facilitate high-quality MTSS training aligned with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) rubric from the Center on Multi-Tiered System of Supports. Participants in the Training of Trainers will enhance skills necessary to:
- Convey MTSS principles clearly and effectively to stakeholders
- Promote effective knowledge transfer and engagement across teams
- Support the development and leadership of MTSS problem-solving teams for data-based decision making
- Facilitate participants' ability to design assessment and instructional plans that align with important components of MTSS to support all learners
- Equip participants with knowledge and skills to integrate linguistically sustaining practices within MTSS
- Guide participants in structured planning for ongoing professional learning and implementation
Prerequisites for the TOT:
This training of trainers will use Canvas courses on TEALearn to support content learning. Participants who do not complete Canvas courses will be withdrawn from the training.

Who is the TOT intended for?
This training of trainers is designed for ESC staff and district/campus administrators and staff responsible for training and implementing MTSS.

- Part 2: February 10-12, 2026
- Training Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST (for Part 1 and Part 2)
